Image Rehearsal Therapy (IRT) for Nightmares

Standard Treatment Length: Six 60 minute sessions


The goal of IRT is to reduce the frequency and intensity of nightmares which can help improve sleep quality. The rationale for IRT is that nightmares are habits or learned behaviors that we can change and overcome. During treatment, you will re-write your nightmares so they have less frightening outcomes. You  will then rehearse the new dream during the day to change your dreams during the night.
